The woolen scarf is made with a blend of Himalayan wool sourced from local farmers and fine merino. It is very special as the wool is hand-spun by Bhotia women on a spinning wheel in the Himalayas. The yarn is first hand-dyed with natural dyes, harada, tesu flowers and indigo and then hand-woven into this beautiful wool scarf. Both Warp and weft of the scarf are of hand-spun wool.
There may be small variations in the size of these wool scarves as they are made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the scarf. The length is about 78 inches (198 cms) and the width is 12 inches (30 cms).
We will ship the shawl within 3 working days of receiving the order by Speed Post.
We make very soft woolen stoles for women using a blend of pure merino and Himalayan wool. The stoles are coloured with natural dyes such as madder, indigo, harada and tesu flowers in the Himalayas. The dyed yarn is hand-woven on traditional looms into a beautiful wool stole in villages in the foothills of the Himalayas. Our wool stoles provide a combination of warmth and elegance.
We make two sizes of stoles. The standard size is approximately 86 inches (218 cm) long and 24 inches (61 cm) wide. The smaller stoles are 80 inches (203 cm) long and 20 inches (51 cm) wide. Both have about 3-inch-long tassels.
