This very special stole is made with pashmina from a cooperative of nomads in Ladakh. To maintain its character and purity, the pashmina has not been exposed to any chemicals and has been hand-spun by women in Rajpur on a charkha (spinning wheel). The stole is dyed in shades of purple with natural dyes, shellac
These stoles are heavier than usual pashmina stoles made with mill yarn. There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the stole. The length is about 80 inches (203 cms) and the width is 20 inches (51 cms).
We will ship the stole by speed post within 3 working days of receiving the order.
We make very soft woolen stoles for women using a blend of pure merino and Himalayan wool. The stoles are coloured with natural dyes such as madder, indigo, harada and tesu flowers in the Himalayas. The dyed yarn is hand-woven on traditional looms into a beautiful wool stole in villages in the foothills of the Himalayas. Our wool stoles provide a combination of warmth and elegance.
We make two sizes of stoles. The standard size is approximately 86 inches (218 cm) long and 24 inches (61 cm) wide. The smaller stoles are 80 inches (203 cm) long and 20 inches (51 cm) wide. Both have about 3-inch-long tassels.
