The scarf is made with pashmina from nomads of Changthang in Ladakh. To maintain its character and purity, the pashmina has not been exposed to any chemicals and dyed with only natural dyes. The pashmina is first handspun and then hand-dyed with sappanwood and harada.
The scarf is heavier than the usual pashmina scarf made with mill-spun yarn. As it is made on a handloom, there may be small variations in size. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the scarf's character. The length is about 78 inches (198 cm), and the width is 12 inches (30 cms).
We will ship the scarf by Speed Post within 3 working days of receiving the order.
We make very soft woolen stoles for women using a blend of pure merino and Himalayan wool. The stoles are coloured with natural dyes such as madder, indigo, harada and tesu flowers in the Himalayas. The dyed yarn is hand-woven on traditional looms into a beautiful wool stole in villages in the foothills of the Himalayas. Our wool stoles provide a combination of warmth and elegance.
We make two sizes of stoles. The standard size is approximately 86 inches (218 cm) long and 24 inches (61 cm) wide. The smaller stoles are 80 inches (203 cm) long and 20 inches (51 cm) wide. Both have about 3-inch-long tassels.
