Small Handwoven Pashmina Stole-Handspun Yarn on a Charkha Natural Colour Undyed

It is a very special stole. It is made with pashmina bought by us directly from a cooperative of nomads in Ladakh. To maintain the character and purity of pashmina it has not been exposed to any chemicals and has been hand-spun by women in Rajpur on a charkha (spinning wheel). This is a very slow process, requiring great skill. Both warp and weft are of hand-spun pashmina.

These stoles are heavier than usual pashmina stoles made with mill yarn.There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the stole. The length is about 80 inches (203 cms) and width is 20 inches (51 cms).
