The shawl is made with pashmina from a cooperative of nomads in Ladakh. The pashmina was first hand-spun on a spinning wheel and then dyed turquoise with natural dyes, including indigo and tesu flowers, in the Himalayas. This beautiful shawl was hand-woven on a traditional loom.
These shawls are heavier than usual pashmina shawls made with mill yarn.
There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the shawl's character. The length is about 87 inches (221 cms), and the width is 36 inches (91 cms).
We will ship the shawl by Speed Post within 3 working days of receiving the order.
