This handwoven woollen shawl is made from a blend of Himalayan wool (25% and merino (75%), hand-spun on a spinning wheel by Bhotia women in the village of Dunda, near Uttarkashi. The yarn is hand-dyed with natural dye shellac and then hand-woven into this beautiful shawl.

There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the shawl's character. The length is about 90 inches (229 cms), and the width is 36 inches (91 cms).
