Handmade Woolen Shawls for Women
These shawls are handwoven with a blend of Merino and Himalayan wool. They are coloured with natural dyes. While some are made with mill spun wool, others are made with wool hand-spun by women in Dunda and Bagori villages in the Himalayas.
All our shawls are very soft. The shawls made with hand-spun wool are particularly soft and have a lot of character.
Scarf woven with handspun wool dyed with tea and tesu flowers and
The scarf is made with a blend of Himalayan wool sourced from local farmers, and fine merino. It is very special as the wool is hand spun by Bhotia ladies near Gangotri. The yarn is first hand dyed with natural dyes and then hand woven into this beautiful scarf.
The scarf is certified by Craftmark as hand woven and hand-dyed.There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the scarf. The length is about 78 inches (198 cms) and width 12 inches (30 cms). There are also tassels of roughly 3 inches (7 cms) length.
