This is a large shawl which will keep you nicely cozy in winter evenings. It is very soft and light as it is made with yak wool obtained from Kargyam village in the Changthang area of Ladakh. A number of crafts people have contributed to the making of these beautiful and very soft shawls. The shawl was hand-woven by Afsana begum and her husband Mohammed Gulzar in Rampur village near Dehradun. It is certified as hand-woven by Craftmark .

There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the shawl. The length is about 100 inches (254 cms) and width 52 inches (132 cms). There are also tassels of roughly 4 inches (10cms) length
