The is a very special shawl. It is made with pashmina hand-spun with traditional drop spindle by nomad women of Changthang in Ladakh. Spinning yarn with a drop spindle is a very slow process, requiring great skill. We were able to get enough yarn to hand-weave only three shawls.

These shawls are heavier than usual pashmina shawls made with mill yarn.

There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the shawl. The length is about 87 inches (221 cms) and width 36 inches (91 cms).
