It is a very special stole. It is made with pashmina purchased directly from a cooperative of nomads in Ladakh. To maintain the character and purity of pashmina, it has not been exposed to any chemicals and has been hand-spun by women in Rajpur on a charkha (spinning wheel). It is dyed red and grey with madder and harada.
These stoles are heavier than usual pashmina stoles made with mill yarn. There may be small variations in size as it is made on a handloom. There may also be some inconsistencies in weaving and dyeing, which add to the character of the stole. The length is about 80 inches (203 cms) and the width is 20 inches (51 cms).
We will ship the stole by Speed Post within 3 working days of receiving the order.
