Himalayan Weavers was set up by Patricia and Ghayur Alam in 2005.

Ghayur Alam has a Ph.D from the University of Manchester, UK, in technology policy. His interests include mountain agriculture, rural development and the use of environmentally friendly technologies. [email protected]

Patricia Alam has been living in India since 1983. She taught Drama and English in the UK and the British School in New Delhi before settling in Masrana near Mussoorie in the Himalayas.  [email protected]
